02:39 MY BED, THE SILVER OAK

 

The sun has finally returned to our side of the globe. It’s been one of the longest winters I’ve ever had to endure. My thirst to see the flowers to bloom and hearing the birds sing has probably never been stronger. At least the cherry blossoms are in full bloom downtown. However the green leaves and are still conspicuous with their absence.

 

I still haven’t found a shampoo that suits both my hair and my wallet. The toilet is broken and makes an eerie sound that can wake you up in the middle of the night. I’m quite busy but somehow at the same time very free. It’s all quite strange.

 

As per usual I should be sleeping. Until next time ❥

It’s been raining today. I’m finally on vacation, although I still have some unfinished work hanging over me, so I don’t really feel "off-duty" just yet.

I've deactivated some social media apps, bought a new sketchbook. This spring has been hectic to say the least. On my free days I've just been laying in bed, drained. I want to do so much but I have so little energy left. I’m slowly coming back though. Staying at home, watching art videos, tending to my little island, even just this wonderful summer weather gives me new energy. I love where we live, it’s so beautiful. I get to swim in the lake every day. The air smells fresh and I’m also the only one on this planet who loves this humidity thing we have going on right now ☺. We have the loudest mosquitos visiting us every night but it's ok cause I get to spend my days with my favourite person.

 

Soon I'll be off to the countryside, hopefully done with everyting I need to finish, to give myself some real time off. Until then ❥

 

 

The dark months of fall and winter always seem endless to me. But somehow every year when the sun starts to come out for spring and summer, I instantly forget about the cold and find myself filled with inspiration and a strong desire to create. So here I go again, starting up this digital diary in hopes of actually documenting life events and whatever I feel like posting, just for myself to look back at in the future. Until next time ❥
